Could that be any more awkward?

It was our first summer of swimming.  Our son was 5 and our daughter, 3.  I remember sitting on the pool deck, surrounded by hordes of parents and swimmers.  It was hot, humid and sticky.  My daughter was sitting on my lap and was getting VERY fidgety, and the meet was taking forever.  Suddenly, she yells out, "Mommy, I'm HOT!"  I said, "I know, honey.  We're all hot right now."  She waited just a moment, then said (very loudly), "Actually, my vagina is hot!"  I couldn't believe my ears!  We were new to the pool, new to the neighborhood, new to swim team - and I was surrounded by DADS! The next year, I put her on the swim team and she's been swimming ever since!
